About Jan Gao

Jan Gao, a Queen’s University MPA graduate, resolute finance and HR executive, entrepreneur, and community volunteer, has been a proud resident of Ottawa South since 2001. She is fighting to be your next Progressive Conservative Member of Provincial Parliament for our vibrant community of Ottawa South. After arriving to Canada in the 1980s to pursue higher education and a brighter future for her family, Jan spent three decades providing financial, HR, and other management services to local business and not-for-profit sectors.

Jan is fluent in English, Mandarin, and basic knowledge of French. Jan brings a unique perspective to Ottawa South—a diverse community in urgent need of representation at Queen’s Park that deeply understands its values and strives for tangible results. Her leadership roles in Ottawa’s business and not-for-profit sector and active involvement in local community and charities highlight her deep commitment to public service.

Driven by the need for more effective representation in Ottawa South, especially as a first-generation immigrant deeply connected to the community, Jan is determined to unseat a long-standing Liberal incumbent who has failed to deliver for the community.

Inspired by Premier Doug Ford’s vision, Jan is dedicated to ensuring that Ottawa South benefits from Ontario PC policies focused on Protecting Ontario from President Trump’s tariffs. This includes investing in key infrastructure to get Ottawa South moving, helping struggling small business and low income families, fighting to fix shortage of family physicians, reduce long wait-time for specialist appointments, surgeries and hospital beds, and importantly ensure safety of our schools and neighbourhoods. Jan believes that the Ontario PC Party’s vision fosters community strength, and with her financial and business expertise and passionate dedication to public service, she is ready to be a strong advocate for Ottawa South at Queen’s Park.

Join Jan Gao and Doug Ford PROTECT ONTARIO and bring effective leadership to Ottawa South. Together, we can ensure our community’s voice is not only heard but has a significant seat at the table at Queen’s Park.
